Virtual Estimator, both the Product and the Service, provide a lot of functionality. However, you may have some simple questions about what we provide that may have been asked previously. Please search through our frequently asked questions below and if your question is not there send us a message so we can update for future enquirers.
Very little. To Register, you simply go to the Account Registration Site and enter a User Name, Email Address and Confirm your Password. Then, you agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Statement and select Register. Once inside the Virtual Estimator portal, you can add users, check jobs and modify your profile, including modifying payment details such as credit card information etc.
No, we use Stripe to handle all our credit card payments and any credit card details are stored within Stripe’s secure credit card processing database.
Your personal login and password ensures your data is protected from any other company being able to login or view your work. You have the option within the Users section of the Virtual Estimator Portal to provide access to other persons in your organisation or even other organisations, but that is entirely up to you.
This depends entirely on the market your coming from and what you are looking for. For instance, we provide area, length and item estimates for landscaping companies, quantities, substrates and fastener counts for flooring companies, panel lengths, underlayment, flashings, accessories and fasteners for roofing companies etc. It all depends on what you’re looking for. We have a standard number of reports already defined, however we are more than happy to speak with you and determine your exact needs and develop an estimate format based on what you require.
Absolutely. We charge a nominal fee to provide reports in the format that you require, however our goal is to be providing you with exactly what you need to send estimates to your customers in quick time. We feel that if we can provide you with exactly what you are looking for at a reasonable and cost-effective price, then you won’t look elsewhere.
Sure, drones provide an excellent source of graphical documentation for most estimating jobs. They also allow you to get to places and provide imagery that you may have trouble accessing with a ladder or getting from a satellite or aerial image. Some of our customers have a standard length of timber that they place on the ground and fly over it with the drone to allow us to more easily determine a scale. You may wish to consider doing this also.
If you are looking for slope dimensions to be taken into account, don’t forget to measure this while you’re onsite and provide this imagery to us also.
